Refractory bricks provide people with safety assurance in the field of safety, but at the same time, some bricks may be locally damaged due to external conditions. Therefore, it is necessary for us to maintain and repair these bricks. Generally, we know that the bricks produced by industrial kilns mainly refer to the excavation and repair of magnesium chromium bricks and spinel bricks. During the repair process, the following points should also be noted:
1. Brick repair must use bricks from the same manufacturer and batch as the old bricks.
2. The expansion joint cardboard of the repaired bricks must not be torn off, and the refractory bricks must be wet laid (the fullness of the fire slurry should reach more than 95%, and it is strictly prohibited to have fire slurry on the large end of the brick and fire slurry on the small end. If such a situation occurs, it should be removed and re laid in a timely manner.
3. Try to use the remaining loose bricks from the same maintenance as the old bricks (note: damp or damaged bricks are strictly prohibited).
4. The contact surface between new and old bricks must be treated with fire clay.
5. The sealing of the first few rings of bricks must be inserted from the side, and the sealing of the second ring of bricks after filling should be done with front inserted bricks.
6. Iron plates cannot be used between the interface surfaces of new and old refractory bricks.
7. The two sides of the lock brick cannot be fitted with iron plates. The iron plates of adjacent two ring bricks should be staggered from each other, and the two sides of the same brick cannot be fitted with iron plates.
8. The iron plate must be completely penetrated into the brick joint.
9. Strictly follow the proportion of bricks in the design for masonry, and do not change the masonry ratio arbitrarily.
10. Try to avoid (or reduce) the use of processed bricks during excavation and repair.
Refractory bricks have excellent high-temperature resistance and are often used in the construction of kilns. However, when some inpidual bricks encounter problems during use, they need to be replaced, and certain principles should be followed when repairing bricks.
