Semisilicite Brick Details
Alumina silicate refractory with Al2O3 content of 15% ~ 30%. Semi-siliceous products are made from materials such as tailings and pyrophyllite obtained from quartz-containing clay or primary kaolin, fire-resistant clay or kaolin mineral processing. The shrinkage of semisilicite brick is small in the firing process, because the quartz in the raw material is transformed into square quartz at 1250℃, and the volume expansion partially offset the shrinkage caused by clay sintering.
The manufacturing process of semisilicite brick can be pided into two kinds: firing or not firing. The manufacturing process of fired brick is basically the same as that of clay brick. Not fired brick is made of sodium silicate as a binder.
The volume of semi-silicon brick is stable at high temperature (slightly expanded), which is conducive to improving the integrity of the masonry and weakening the erosion effect of slag on the masonry. When contacting with the high temperature slag, a layer of glaze material with high viscosity is formed on the surface of the brick, which blocks the pores and prevents the slag from permeating into the brick, thus improving the anti-erosion ability of the brick. And the temperature of deformation under load is higher at the beginning. So in some occasions, its service life is not inferior to the general clay brick.
When silicon clay is used as raw material in the manufacturing process, it is decided whether to add clinker or not according to the properties of the raw material and the service conditions of the products. Siliceous clay has very little shrinkage and no clinker is used in brick making. In order to improve the properties of the products, 10%~20% clinker is added to the ingredients, and the manufacturing method is similar to that of viscose brick. All kinds of raw materials after coarse broken, medium broken, fine broken three levels, into less than 3mm, 2mm, 0.5mm particles. There are different proportions of ingredients according to the nature of the brick. Generally, 80%~90% of pyrophyllite and pyrophyllite granules are selected, and the ratio of 20%~10% of clay is combined. Then, pulp waste liquid is added and made into mud in a pressurized mixer. Then, the mud can be formed only after being trapped for more than 24h. Avoid cracking when forming. Low stroke and high stroke friction press brick molding machine, generally choose the nominal pressure 2600~300OkN brick press. Use kang or tunnel dryer to dry brick, the drying temperature is generally 90~300℃, no brick burning need to dry for 48 hours before use. The firing temperature of the fired brick is about 1200° C. During the firing process, the temperature should be raised slowly due to the water draining from the structure at 600~800C stage.
