Operating temperature
The maximum service temperature of ceramic fibers refers to the limit temperature that ceramic fibers can withstand in a short period of time, and is used to characterize the heat resistance of ceramic fiber products. The temperature allowed for long-term use of ceramic fiber products is generally about 200°C lower than the maximum use temperature. For example, the long-term service temperature of 1260°C fiber products is about 1000°C.
It is customary in the world to pide ceramic fiber products into 4 grades according to temperature, namely 1000°C type, 1260°C type, 1400°C type and 1600°C type. In China, it is also subpided according to the composition of ceramic fibers and the highest service temperature to meet the selection requirements of different grades of thermal insulation.
Applications
The most important use of ceramic fiber texttile is thermal insulation in high temperature environments. The application scope covers metallurgy, machinery, electronics, ceramics, glass, chemicals, automobiles, building materials, light industry, military industry, ships, aerospace and other fields.
At present, ceramic fiber products include blankets, felts, boards, paper, cloth, belts, ropes, coiled pipes, tiles, modules, special-shaped parts, plastics, spray coatings, smears, castables, etc.
