Tabular corundum is a pure sintered corundum that is completely sintered and shrunk without any additives such as MgO and B2O3. Plate-like crystal structure, small pores and more closed pores, and the porosity is roughly the same as that of fused corundum, high purity, good volume stability, minimal refiring shrinkage, used for production of refractory materials or castables after high temperature treatment Has good thermal shock stability and flexural strength.

White Tabular corundum is a pure sintered α-alumina materials that has been fully densified by rapid-sintering without the use of sintering aids at temperature in excess 1900°c.
White Tabular corundum has characteristic large, well developed hexagonal tablet shaped α-alumina crystals of up to 200μm length.
